Cormac Tobin appointed to Celesio Leadership Team

Cormac Tobin has been appointed to the Leadership Team of LloydsPharmacy’s parent company, Celesio AG. The new role sees Cormac continue as managing director for Celesio UK, which he has led for 18 months, while also having regional responsibility for LloydsPharmacy Ireland. Goretti Brady will continue as Managing Director for LloydsPharmacy Ireland.

Appointed by Marc Owen, Chairman of the Management Board of Germany-based Celesio AG, the new Celesio Leadership Team is made up of current directors from Celesio’s larger country management teams and group functions. The team will define the strategic and operating priorities of the Celesio Group.

Cormac Tobin, was appointed Managing Director of Celesio UK in early 2013 after successfully leading the Celesio Group’s business in Ireland, DocMorris/Unicarepharmacy, for six years.

Commenting on his new role, Cormac Tobin said: “I have had the privilege of working with colleagues in both the UK and Ireland and know that they are knowledgeable, and passionate people who care about helping people manage their health better so they can lead more positive lives. Whether colleagues work in distribution centres, support offices or are in direct contact with customers and patients in our pharmacies, they all play a valuable role and I’m delighted and proud to continue to lead the UK team and represent Ireland on the Celesio Leadership Team.

In the UK, Cormac is responsible for six businesses, LloydsPharmacy, AAH Pharmaceuticals, Evolution Homecare, Wilkinsons Healthcare, LloydsPharmacy Online Doctor and Betterlife, securing a significant presence across the secondary, primary and homecare sectors. LloydsPharmacy also has a substantial market share within the Irish pharmacy sector.
